Chapter 2 Odyssey Submission- The Ride

The Light Train sped on into a black void of nothingness. She hung on for dear life as her body was thrown around like a rubber ball. Confusion muffled her thoughts as strange images that she could not comprehend flashed through her small amount of consciousness..images of the past, too ancient to remember...
Suddenly, tormenting pain shot through her body. Electric shocks seized hold of the girl, generating vacancy of her mind. They engulfed her, and snatched her into their fire claws. She felt herself losing her grasp on reality. She could hear the teasing voices of evil, telling her to let go, telling her to die, telling her to let herself fall. But what kept her going was the thought of his face. Zephyr. The sharp angles of angles...his gray eyes that bore into you as if they knew all of your deepest secrets. She didn't let go of reality.
And then the world became a sea of ebony.
The compact pavement on which she laid was bruising her back. When she woke, her eyes opened to reveal hypnotizing emeralds in their depths.
The place she was in was strange and frightening. Gigantic metallic monsters breathed smoke that smelled worse then death. Strange things taller than trees surrounded her. The gray sky gave a chilling boom, and crystalline tears fell lightly from the swirling clouds above. A whimper escaped out of her throat, but she quickly swallowed it, ashamed. Her hands were shaking as she reached into her pocket,and stood up. She sighed in relief as she felt the calender still inside. It was safe. For now.
The first trial was complete...Endurance of Pain.
A whisper laid upon her lips as she took her first step in Tokyo. "This is the past?"
